For the first time in the history of navigation technology, Attractions app has integrated an animal face recognition feature within the existing list of features for aquarium and zoo navigation. Spaces such as aquariums and zoo parks exhibit a plethora of aquatic and animal species (both under-water and on ground) for visitors. The Animal Face Recognition (AFR) feature allows visitors to obtain information on individuals specimens by using their Smartphones through the Attractions interface. SRISYS Inc, an Ohio based software development company launched Attractions in 2018 and since its inception, innovative features have been integrated based on market trends. The CEO of SRISYS Inc. Vijay Sabbineni says, “using this app will engage visitors optimally because of the unique features it has and it can even increase footfall as well by enhancing visitor experience.” Attractions app is based on Geolocation technology which primarily works for indoor positioning and navigation, however, animal face recognition is a customized feature for venues like zoos and aquariums.
